Part 3. Advanced kanban

So far in the book you’ve read about the foundation of kanban, the principles it’s built on, and a lot of practical techniques that help you apply those principles in your context.

We now turn our attention to more advanced or peripheral practices that many teams using kanban are using or picking up. These practices and tools may help you in certain situations but aren’t necessary to use kanban. And don’t let the “Advanced” in the name of this part scare you; nothing advanced is required in order to apply these practices, and we’ll continue to hold your hand in a very practical way. But applying some of these practices may take you further and help you reach beyond the scope of your own team, so you can start to transform your organization.
