Lisa Congdon
59 // Lisa Congdon is originally from San Francisco and now lives in Oakland, California. Lisa is a self-taught artist and designer who is strongly influenced by traditional textiles and folk patterns, in particular those from Europe and Mexico, which combine geometrics and botanicals. Her clients have included Hygge & West, Poketo, Chronicle Books and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, among others. Lisa’s plans for the future include more fabric and textiles, and she dreams of designing tableware. She says, ‘If Marimekko called me, I’d be pretty happy.’
