In this chapter, you have been introduced to the set of tools known as the SWT, that is designed for the development of graphical interfaces in Eclipse. You have learned some of the basic principles of its widgets, such as texts, buttons, lists, and more. You have also learned how to position this controls using layouts and had a glimpse of how to handle some events. The acquired knowledge is essential for us to understand more complex SWT concepts in the next chapter.
