This chapter has covered one of the most important subjects in computer vision. Segmentation is often one of the first steps, and also, it is typically one of the trickiest. In this chapter, we have provided the reader with insight and samples to use the most useful segmentation methods in OpenCV, such as thresholding, contours and connected components, flood filling of regions, the watershed segmentation method, and the GrabCut method.
