Summary

In this chapter, we looked at the scrolling functionality and how it can help to go through many pages of query results efficiently. We also learned how to control cluster rebalancing and how to validate our queries before they are executed. In addition to that we learned how we can use the warming up functionality and how it can help us.

So, now you have reached the end of the book. We hope that it was a nice reading experience and that you found the book interesting. We also hope that you have learned something from this book and now you will find it easier to use ElasticSearch every day. As the authors of this book, but also ElasticSearch users, we tried to bring you, our readers, the best reading experience we could. In addition to that, ElasticSearch is not only user friendly, but also provides a large number of configuration options, querying possibilities, and so on. Due to that, we had to choose which functionality to describe in greater details, which should be only mentioned, and which would have to be totally skipped. We hope that our choice was good.

One last thing—please remember that ElasticSearch is constantly evolving. When writing this book, the latest stable release was the 0.20.x one; however, even back then we knew that new features are coming, such as the new Suggest API. Be sure to check www.elasticsearch.org periodically for the release notes for new versions of ElasticSearch, if you want to be up to date with the new features being added.
