About the Author

Marty Matthews “played” with some of the first mainframe computers, and from those to the latest tablets and smart phones, he has never lost his fascination with computers. He has been everything from a programmer to a software company president. Throughout, he has worked to bring others along with him and help them make the best use of all that computers can do. Toward that end, Marty has written over 80 books on programming and computing subjects, with many becoming bestsellers and receiving many accolades.

His recent books include Dynamic Web Programming: A Beginner’s Guide, Windows 8.1 for Seniors QuickSteps, iPad for Seniors QuickSteps, and Windows 8 QuickSteps.

Marty and his wife Carole, also a writer, are the co-creators of QuickSteps books and live on an island northwest of Seattle, Washington.
