Below are the works we mention in text, those from which we have quoted directly, and sources from which we learned facts not commonly known. We have also listed those that have helped us to form our ideas, as well as a couple of our own previous books. At the end of the list, we have included some of the websites we contribute to, plus some we follow or which follow our work. If we have unknowingly extracted, in good colonial fashion, any ideas from you, please let us know and we will make amends and give full credit when the opportunity arises.

There is one group that warrants special mention. Susan Witt leads the Schumacher Center for a New Economics, the roots of which stretch back to E.F. Schumacher. Few groups have been as inventive and enduring in starting efforts to support the common good. They are the spiritual and educational Mecca for creating a world that cares for every citizen, every parcel of soil, and every community. Here are the websites, including their own, that have been inspired or been launched out of the work of this group.
