It is recommended to preload R libraries before R starts. The library can be preloaded before Rserve starts by using an Rserve configuration file. It is possible to use a library() call in the R script, but this would mean that the library would be loaded afresh every time the view is refreshed. This is another step for the user, and we are trying to make it as simple as possible.
