Normal distribution

Random variables of many natural phenomena are modeled by the normal distribution. The normal distribution has the probability density:

Where μ is the mean of the distribution and σ2 is the variation of the distribution. The graph of the normal distribution has a shape of a bell curve, e.g. confer the graph underneath of the normal distribution with the mean 10 and the standard deviation 2.
