Mark Bettner is the Christian R. Lindback professor of accounting and financial management in the College of Management at Bucknell University. He received his PhD in business administration from Texas Tech University in 1988, his MS in accountancy from Virginia Tech in 1982, and his BS in business administration from Oregon State University in 1980. Mark is an author of several widely used accounting textbooks and has published numerous scholarly and practitioner articles. He is a reviewer for a wide range of academic journals, including The International Journal of Accounting, Business, & Society; The International Journal of Business & Accounting; Advances in Public Interest Accounting; Essays in Economics & Business History; Critical Perspectives on Accounting; and The International Journal on Critical Accounting. He also offers a professional development course each summer at Penn State University for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
Mark and his wife, Francoise, have resided in Lewisburg for 30 years. They are the proud parents of four grown children and three partially grown grandchildren.
