Appendix A. RFCs

This appendix contains titles and brief introductions for the RFCs referenced in this book. It also contains some RFCs that are useful for people just getting started in TCP/IP-based internetworking and the Internet. Some of these RFCs explain the standards bodies and their policies. Others explain fundamental concepts that are useful to understand. A couple—such as RFC 1149—show the humorous side of the RFC world.
