Now that we have the basics down, how can we
make this into some cool interactive adornments?
In this project we’ll make an inductive LED ring,
then use the same technique to make fairy light
sleeves. These will light up as your finger or
hand passes over the necklace transmitter coil,
so you can be illuminated as you dance! You can
use this technique to make all kinds of inductive
adornments.
1. MAKE THE TRANSMITTER NECKLACE
First we’ll extend the leads on the coil to make a
necklace. Clip the coil attached to the transmitter
board (Figure
M
) and extend the two leads
by soldering on much longer copper wire or
speaker wire.

» String and jewelry clasp for a
