Singular Objects Moving Toward Reservation

Genetic objects, as they are presented in international and national texts, especially the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), have a dual aspect. They are tangible objects, on the one hand, because they are linked to physical carriers, exploitable raw materials that seem to fall under the category of things (Chapter 2). They are intangible objects, on the other hand, incorporated into patentable biotechnological inventions (Chapter 3).
