Navigation property

A property that can be defined as either a principal entity or dependent entity, whether it's referring to its parent or holding one or many dependent entities to it, is called the navigation property. We can see that it just holds the references to both parent and child but in a different way, so we could categorize them as the following:

  • Collection navigation property
  • Reference navigation property
  • Inverse navigation property
