The Statement of Health (SoH) is a protocol that allows Microsoft Windows machines on a network to report system health, or endpoint integrity, to a NAC policy server or Policy Decision Point (PDP) in a standards-based manner.
The SoH protocols were first released by Microsoft and supported on Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Vista SP1.
Major NAC architectures, including Trusted Network Connect and Microsoft NAP, support these protocols and allow for the validation of a machine's integrity without requiring a vendor's custom-built endpoint integrity client. This can help simplify deployment tasks, in some cases.
