Rick Nason, PhD, CFA
As an international consultant and founding partner with RSD Solutions Inc., Rick has advised and developed programs on valuation, risk measurement, enterprise risk management, and financial strategy since 2002. He is a frequent commentator for the media on issues related to risk management, investments, and finance in general.
Rick’s reputation as a practitioner has been earned by holding multiple senior capital markets roles at a number of major international banks; he is also an award-winning academic who has developed finance courses for MBAs and executive development programs. Rick has authored many academic and professional articles and is coauthor of the textbook Financial Management: Theory and Practice, now in its third Canadian edition (Brigham et al. 2016).
Rick has a BSc in math and chemistry from McMurry University, an MSc in physics from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA and PhD from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He is also a CFA (chartered financial analyst) charter holder.
Dan Nordqvist, CPA, CMA, MBA, MSc
Over the last number of years Dan has developed significant expertise in corporate finance, financial analysis, and business decision support through work with a leading telecommunications corporation along with advising a wide variety of small businesses. Dan also has experience owning and operating a real estate company as well as an accounting and consulting firm. He is a senior manager with Baker Tilly Nova Scotia, where he heads up the cloud accounting team.
Dan completed his MBA and MSc both from Dalhousie University and is a chartered professional accountant. During his time at Dalhousie University and continuing to the present day, he has assisted with courses such as derivatives and risk management, corporate finance, and strategy. He has held numerous board positions and is currently the treasurer of the Better Business Bureau of the Atlantic Provinces.
