This is a CBD-infused twist on the traditional tea beverage from the Punjab region, which uses milk instead of water to brew black tea with spices. Sweeten with jaggery or brown sugar cubes for the most authentic flavor experience.


214 cups (540ml) whole milk

1 tbsp (4g) loose leaf Assam or black tea

5 clove buds

1 star anise pod

1 cinnamon stick

2 cardamom pods, seeds only

2 servings of CBD oil, but no more than 1 tsp (5ml) total

jaggery sugar or other sweetener, as desired

1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, tea leaves, cloves, star anise, cinnamon stick, and cardamom seeds. Heat on medium-low until a simmer is reached. Simmer for 3 minutes, whisking frequently. Take care not to let the mixture boil so that the milk doesn’t scald.

2. Strain the tea leaves and whole spices from the milk and pour immediately into cups for serving. Add one serving of CBD oil per cup and stir to emulsify the oil into the hot tea–infused milk. Sweeten as desired, and serve.
