ASSUMPTIONS TO MAKE FOR THIS EXAMPLE

Although most of this book is not very technical, to get through this chapter, you must have a fair background in programming concepts. You should have working knowledge of the following concepts to get the most out of this sample application and accompanying code:

  • C# .NET programming language and concepts
  • XSLT for working with Umbraco macros
  • XHTML and CSS
  • Visual Studio integrated development environment
  • General concepts such as installing and deploying web applications (including Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server)

In addition to these broader requirements, another assumption is that you have reviewed the totality of the chapters in this book. References to previous chapters are provided where necessary, but by now you should have a good foundation of the various Umbraco approaches and concepts.
