About the Author

Kate Binder is a design and graphics expert and Mac OS X fanatic who has written extensively on graphics, publishing, and photography since dinosaurs walked the earth and “QuarkXPress versus PageMaker” was the perennial hot topic. Her many books include iMac Portable Genius, Easy Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, Easy Mac OS X Leopard, Sams Teach Yourself Adobe Photoshop CS4 in 24 Hours, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Mac OS X, and Easy Adobe Photoshop 6. She is also coauthor of Microsoft Office: Mac v.X Inside Out, SVG for Designers, and Get Creative: The Digital Photo Idea Book. Kate lives and works in New Hampshire with her family and a pack of semi-retired racing greyhounds.
