Summary

In this chapter, we went through the naming service that is provided by the Apache Geronimo application server, and looked into the two types of JNDI environments that are a part of it. We also saw how we can get resources and components bound in the local and global JNDI environments. In the next chapter, we will look at extending the functionality of Apache Geronimo by using plugins, as well as how to create custom server assemblies.
