Before we begin, make sure VirtualBox is running. For this recipe, we'll use the 32-bit Ubuntu virtual machine, and the screenshots that have been used will show the output for this virtual machine. We will use the 32-bit virtual machine because I want us to begin by honing our IA32 knowledge before we work through IA64 disassembly analysis. So, make sure the 32-bit Ubuntu VM is running and when it's loaded, start the Terminal application. In the running Terminal session, change the working directory to ~/bac/Binary-Analysis-Cookbook/Chapter-05/32bit.
