All models have Message Waiting Indication (MWI) except for the 7936 models. XML applications developed by third parties are available only for 7940G, 7970G, and 7960G Cisco IP Phones.

Note

Cisco has released Cisco IP Phone 7971G-GE, which is the second IP Phone model in the Cisco IP Phone 7970 executive series. The main difference between Cisco IP Phone 7970G and Cisco IP Phone 7971G-GE is that the later model has a 10/100/1000 Mbps switch daughter card that offers Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to the upstream switch and to the attached PC.
