The power of FreeSWITCH is truly unleashed within the Dialplan system itself, and understanding the complexities of using various functions within FreeSWITCH is key to ensure that the FreeSWITCH performs exactly the way you want.

In the next chapter, we will lay the foundation for doing very powerful FreeSWITCH configurations that do not rely solely on the static XML files.
