In this chapter, we saw the communication mechanism for the socket.io server and client. Understanding the working and the message formats, helps us in debugging the issues we face during the development of socket.io applications.

In the next chapter we will learn to deploy and scale socket.io applications in production. Also, we will get a few tips on how to minimize our troubles on the production server.
