About the Author

Glenn has written oodles of books since the 1990s. Most recently, those include Take Control of FaceTime and Messages, Take Control of iOS & iPadOS Privacy and Security, and Six Centuries of Type & Printing. He’s currently at work on a book about the history of newspaper comics printing—yes, it’s a little obscure, but very fun. Glenn writes regularly for TidBITS and Macworld, and has a parallel career as a printing and type historian. (Photo credit: Lynn D. Warner)

Thank you to Joe Kissell for his constant encouragement, technical support, and for being a delightful advocate of fellow authors.

Shameless Plug

One of my other keen interests outside all things Apple is printing and type history. You can visit my online store to find a variety of typographic items for sale, including my letterpress-printed book Six Centuries of Type & Printing. The book—set in hot metal, printed in London, and bound in Germany—is a quick but detailed jaunt across this history of printing with metal types and then digital technology.
