George Lucas

For over twenty-five years, George Lucas, PhD, has been a resource to organizations as a speaker, trainer, consultant, and field coach. He has worked closely with his clients to assist them in the advancement of best practices as they work to build profitable relationships with their clients, prospects, vendors, and internal resources. George has conducted these initiatives across North America, Asia/Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

His client list includes both global and midsize organizations. Of note is that none of his clients has a strategy of being the “cheapest” option in providing services and products to their clients. They all, however, have developed an approach centered on identifying, delivering, communicating, and being compensated appropriately for the value they provide.

Lucas received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia and subsequently served in several field sales positions. He returned to Missouri to complete both an MBA and PhD in business administration. George has held faculty positions at both Texas A&M University and the University of Memphis. It was at the University of Memphis that he collaborated with Dr. Patrick Schul on the development and delivery of the first graduate-level negotiation skills curriculum.

George is the author of several successful books and has published numerous articles on the topics of negotiation skills, leadership, and marketing strategy. He is Executive Vice President and on the board of U.S. Learning. With Terri Murphy, he coauthored a widely utilized CD-based learning resource entitled Negotiation: What You Don’t Know Can Cost You.
