Chapter 6
The Success Journal

‘The act of writing is the act of discovering what you believe.’

—Sir David Hare, dramatist

Throughout the book I have given you the tools to help you quite literally change your life. Knowing them is no good unless you plan on implementing them and the best way to do this is to turn them into habits. The success journal is the opportunity to do just that. As I said at the start of the book, none of these rituals will work in isolation. It's simply not enough to implement just one guideline, you have to implement them all. The exercises throughout the book will have helped shape your internal dialogue. The success journal is now going to help you carry out the all-important external actions.

Assuming you will have completed the exercises outlined in the book so far, you will have:

  1. Set your intention
  2. Established 10 things that equate to success for you
  3. Listed your core values
  4. Outlined the kind of life you want to live
  5. Highlighted your empowering stories
  6. Reframed your disempowering stories
  7. Completed your ‘I Am’ statement
  8. Set your goals
  9. Identified the brakes
  10. Established the resources that will help you accelerate your learning
  11. Outlined the ways in which you can implement the wow factor
  12. Created an avatar of your ideal client
  13. Listed the books/resources that will help you fast track your goal
  14. Begun journaling by answering the questions listed
  15. Creatively answered the four ‘90-second questions’
  16. Established your ideal morning routine.

There's a lot to remember, so this journal will keep you right on track for the next six weeks, by the end of which it will be second nature. The first week is the hardest, but if you work through it, I promise you that within the six-week timeframe, you WILL start to see results. Just think, in only six weeks' time you will be a new person, more energized and productive and on your way to an incredibly fulfilled life.
