This final section is a short introduction to what lies beyond success. Maybe you've got a lot of the things I've talked about in place, but you're conscious there's yet another level of performance that you could reach. The only word I can think of for that is ‘mastery', which I define as going from ‘nothing wrong' to ‘everything right' — what high-performing organisations do. It's not a breakpoint in the sense of there being a moment or a decision that results in a shift into new territory. Rather it's business as usual at a higher level — business as unusual, as I called it earlier.
