Replicate the results reported in the chapter. Specifically, review each of the extraction criteria for determining the number of factors to extract within the engineering, SDQ, and GDS data sets.

Examine the various extraction criteria using the first author’s identification with academics (Osborne, 1997) data (which was described briefly and downloaded for the exercises in Chapter 2). Make a recommendation for the number of factors that should be extracted from this data.
