Mr. Gautam Mahajan, president of Customer Value Foundation, is the leading global thought leader in total Customer Value Management and Value creation. He mentors the global Value Creation Alliance and is founding editor of the Journal of Creating Value. He is the author of several books, and is a business leader and inventor with 18 US patents.
He worked many years for a Fortune 50 company in the US and has hands-on experience in development of leaders, CEOs and executives; and in consulting for numerous MNCs (such as Alcoa, APEAL, Azelis, Birlas, BTR-Nylex, Chicago Metallic, Continental Can, Coromandel Fertilisers, DuPont, European Union, GE, Godrej GTE, Israel Chemicals, International Finance Corporation, ITC, Klockner, Korea Telecom, L&T, Reynolds, Sealed Air, Sumitomo, Solvay, Sonoco, Steel Authority of India, Tatas, Toyo Seikan, Valmont, Viag, Xerox).

Gautam was President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the US India Economics Relations Forum; Chairman, PlastIndia Committee; Vice President, All India Plastics Manufacturers Association; and Trustee, Plastics Institute of America. He was a member of the US India think tank. Among his honours is a Fellowship from Harvard Business School and Illinois Institute of Technology. Commercial examples of his patents include noise control kits and plastic beverage bottle bases. He was honoured by the Illinois Institute of Technology with its Distinguished Alumni award in 2001. He is a sought after speaker and has spoken around the world, including to CEOs. He also lectures and conducts workshops on creating Value, pricing, creating Value for yourself, strategy, and business development.
He has started a program to create entrepreneurs at the Bottom of the Pyramid.
Mr. Mahajan is a graduate of IIT Madras, where he was an Institute Merit Scholar, and has a Master’s degree in Mechanics from the Illinois Institute of Technology; and an MBA from Suffolk University.
