Summary

In this chapter, we discussed diagrams that we did not cover in previous chapters and that are likely to be important to mere mortals. We covered models that help you understand what is happening in a system by looking at state and collaboration diagrams and what elements exist in a system by examining object diagrams.

We also took a peek into the future by discussing changes expected in the forthcoming UML 2.0 and how these changes will enable you to more effectively communicate your designs and understand how elements within your systems communicate with each other.
