LET THEM DO IT THEIR WAY

When you get in a cab, you tell the driver where you want to go, not how to get there. In the same way, ideaists should give the destination, not the route.

And when you feel sick, you tell the doctor what’s wrong with you, not what medicine or treatment you need. In the same way, ideaists should state the problem, not the solution.

You must give the people you work with the freedom to take chances, to follow their own insights, to develop their own ideas, to explore roads that may not appear on the map you have in mind, to arrive at solutions you may not have thought of.

“Do it my way,” are the words of an autocrat. They sap people’s belief in themselves, limit their vision, and squeeze their potential.

“Find a new way,” are the words of an ideaist. They restore people’s belief in themselves, expand their vision, and unleash their potential.
