ABOUT THE EDITORS

Anjali Ghosh is Professor, Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. The author of Peaceful Transition to Power: A Study of Marxist Political Strategies in West Bengal, 1967-1977 (1981) and Burma: A Case of Aborted Development (1989), she specializesion Southeast Asia and State Politics of India. She has also contributed research papers to a number of journals and edited volumes.

Tridib Chakraborti is Professor and Head, Department oflnternational Relations, Jadavpur University. He specializes in Southeast Asian politics, foreign relations, strategic issues, Indian diasporas and ethnic issues of Southeast Asia. An expert on Indo-China affairs, he has contributed extensively to international and national journals and books. He is the author of India and Kampuchea: A Phase in Their Relations 1978-81, and co-editor of Vietnam: A Changing Horizon and Anatomy of Fear: Essays on India’s Internal Security.

Anindyo Jyoti Majumdar is Reader, Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. A specialist on security and disarmament studies, Dr Majumdar is the author of Lethal Games: Nuclear Security, Arms Control and Leadership in Indo-Pak Relations (2004). He also edited Nuclear India into the New Millennium (2000) and co-edited Understanding Global Politics: Issues and Trends (2004) and The Elsewhere People: Essays on Cross-border Migration, Refugee Protection and State Response(2003).

Shibashis Chatterjee is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He has authored Nuclear Non-Proliferation and the Problem of Threshold States (1999) and co-edited Understanding Global Politics: Issues and Trends (2004) and Anatomy of Fear: Essays on India’s Internal Security (2005). He specializes in international relations theory and political theory, and has contributed extensively to academic journals and edited volumes.
