In “Unleash the Amateurs” (Make: Volume 84,
page 14), we reported that Hiram Percy Maxim
contacted fellow radio amateur Windsor Locks
in 1914. In fact Windsor Locks, Connecticut,
is the town the colleague lived in. Thanks to
reader Tim McNerney for spotting the error!
