right turning movement from the right stick, and
TRA for the left-right translation movement from
the left stick.
This is where the Mecanum hits the road.
With these inputs set, you can now mix them to
allow you to combine inputs into some really cool
movements on your robot. Under the Mixes tab
(Figure
L
), you’ll see the output channels you
have connected your motors to on the receiver.
This is where you map the inputs from the
controller (Figure
M
) to the output channels the
motors are on. You can mix each of these inputs
from the controller here. Each channel can have
a percentage of the input, or be on a curve of
influence using a formula, or even be activated
and deactivated via a switch! Here I have mapped
each of the sticks, mixing a certain part of their
signals to the corresponding output channel.
Note how in some cases the input is subtracted
instead of added to the output. These things can
be a logic puzzle, and you need to really think of
how one stick needs to interact with the other.
Following each input you will see a percentage,
positive or negative, which determines the
influence they each have on the output channel.
For example, for the channel 3 output CH3, the
front left wheel, you will see:
