The following are the steps to set up an application:
- The web page: http://www.alchemyapi.com, redirects to http://www.ibm.com/watson/alchemy-api.html
- Sign up and create an account (IBMid).
- Finally, you will obtain a verification number via email:
- Select the Watson API from the menu, select All products | Watson | Watson APIs:
- You will land on the Bluemix main page.
- Start Bluemix services. Select the Start for free on Bluemix button:
- Bluemix configuration: Create space for your organization and potentially other parameters—just enter a name.
- You have now reached the IBM Bluemix catalog main page.
- Select the Alchemy API, from the left-panel menu select Watson | AlchemyAPI:
- Now, you are about to create an application. Just accept defaults and click on Create:
- Obtain your API key.
- The application with Alchemy API services is created. Now you can click on Service Credentials to get your API key.
