About the Authors

David Lewis is cofounder and CEO of Pinnacle Performance Company, a global intention-based training firm that has revolutionized presentation and communication skills training. He is also coinventor of The Pinnacle Method™; a unique and innovative learning system that meshes time-tested acting techniques with contemporary business skills (Intention-Based Communication®) to teach professionals how to clearly and concisely influence their audience through the delivery of their message. Prior to launching Pinnacle, his corporate track record stretched from Wall Street to Silicon Valley, generally performing in executive level sales and marketing leadership positions at both Fortune 500 companies and hi-tech/Internet start-ups.

In 2004, Mr. Lewis cofounded LastLine Endeavors, a film development and production company that produced the award-winning feature film, Brothers Three: An American Gothic. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild with a number of stage, film, and TV commercial credits and is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelors' Degree in Business and Communications.

David lives in Chicago where he proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

G. Riley Mills is the cofounder and COO of Pinnacle Performance Company and coauthor of The Pin Drop Principle. He was named one of Inc. Magazine's “Top 100 Leadership Speakers of 2018” and has served as an elite coach to some of the world's top executives and leaders in over 30 countries across the globe. Mills has guest-lectured or delivered keynotes at such events and institutions as Columbia University, NASSCOMM Conference (India), CIPD Conference (London and Manchester), ATD International Conference and Exposition, London Chamber of Commerce, New York University, Young Presidents' Organization, MENA Conference (Saudi Arabia), Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University, University of Liverpool, London, The Cornell Club, Learning and Skills Conference (London), SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition, Purdue University, Singapore Management University, and Manchester United.

As a writer, Mills has twice been awarded the Joseph Jefferson Award (Chicago's Tony Award) for Best New Work and is also the recipient of a 2007 NAPPA Honor Award. He has twice been nominated for the Distinguished Play Award from the American Alliance for Theatre & Education. Most recently his acclaimed musical, The Hundred Dresses (written with Grammy-nominated musician Ralph Covert) premiered Off-Broadway at The Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City. His writing has also been featured in Fast Company and he is a frequent contributor to Forbes. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and his acting resume features many notable stage, television, and film appearances.

Mills is also the cofounder of The Bookwallah Organization, a charitable association whose mission is to collect storybooks and set up libraries in orphanages around the world (www.bookwallah.org).
