NeBu Systems has made a lot of progress in a very short time. While things appear to be successful at first glance, rapid growth and transformation have many challenges. Adoption can be difficult. Proper change management and governance are critical to success but very hard to do well.

Initially, NeBu Systems did a very good job with change management. Unfortunately, people have moved on. As the transition has progressed, teams have been shuffled a bit to realign people with current strategy, technology, and economics. Change management has suffered for the last few months, slowing adoption significantly. People are gravitating back to old, comfortable methods rather than embracing the new processes, infrastructure, and updated services.

NeBu Systems saw significant early adoption, which led to rapid growth in the infrastructure supporting the growing user base. With rapid growth, details get missed. Costs have escalated beyond where initial budgets were set. Scope-creep has become a problem. Leaders want to re-examine where they are today, reset to align infrastructure with the current strategy, and do a better job of controlling costs.
