WooCommerce has some pretty smart defaults so you actually could start selling products right now. If you're a new store owner, that's actually not a bad thing. Flat Rate Shipping is quite configurable and can handle many different shipping options while still being relatively simple to set up. Free shipping is also quite easy to set up and you can entice users to buy more products by offering free shipping for a certain order total.
