In this chapter, we learned about dashboards, which are a special type of document that displays data and summarizes all the key metrics for business use; panels, holders that group several elements such as selectors, lines, images, grid/graph objects, and so on; panel stacks, which are groups of panels; selectors, which provide interactivity to the user and let them flip between the panels of the panel stack; graphs and charts, which are diagrammatical representations of sets of data; widgets, which are another way of visualizing data, combined with rich interactivity for users; and visualization techniques, which provide the user with the ability to create quick, interactive dashboards.

In the next chapter, we will cover the MicroStrategy Software Developer Kit (SDK), which allows users to extend and customize MicroStrategy's functionality, and integrate it with third-party applications.
