Our enterprise Watson roadmap starts with a transitory account of IBM Watson. It is reported that research began on Watson in early 2006. Watson made its first public appearance with the Jeopardy challenge in February of 2011. It was brought to market with a focus on healthcare in August of that same year. In March of 2012, Watson expanded its focus to financial services and then added cross-industry solutions later that year.

So, what's next? It's very hard to tell. It has been said that Watson will transform research, analytics, and human-machine interaction and its creators have certainly invested in that promise. In my opinion, it's up to you to experiment and evaluate Watson for yourself and then decide.
