The next stage is to install any applications that you want to have as part of your parent image. These are typically applications that will be used by every user in your organization. You could also deliver applications using other technologies, such as ThinApp or App Volumes, as, ideally, you would want to try to deliver applications on demand, rather than install them into operating system images, as this would make them harder to manage.

In the example lab, we have installed Adobe Reader in the gold image.

In the next section, we are going to install the Horizon Agent so that the virtual desktop machine is registered with the Horizon environment and the connection server.
