Now that the hard part is done and you’ve successfully created a template and sent it off to a segment of your database, it’s time to see the fruits of your labor. ACT! E-marketing will update each contact record with the results of your e-blast. And, once your database is updated with the results of your marketing campaign, you’ll be able to query that information to find those contacts who are really interested in your message as well as those contacts that aren’t.
Once you’ve sent out an email campaign there’s not much left to do except to wait for the recipients to open (and hopefully read) your message. Your results will begin to appear within 24 hours of your initial send.
- In ACT!, click Write, point to Sage E-marketing for ACT!, and then select E-mail Marketing to open the ACT! E-marketing dialog window.
- Click the Results tab, check the boxes next to email blasts for which you want to write results, and then click the Submit button.
- Click OK at the prompt asking if youd like to update the Swiftpage results into ACT!.
The ACT! History tab of all the contacts included in your e-blast will only be updated with open, click, and send information when you perform this process. It’s important to remember that the results are not updated automatically; you will need to continue to update the results following the method above until new results stop appearing.
Once you’ve transmitted an ACT! E-marketing message the results of your campaign will be updated on a daily basis. Typically you’ll receive the greatest number of results within 24 hours of your transmittal as your recipients begin to open your message. The results will continue to trickle in, sometimes for as long as a month after the initial send, as recipients continue to view your message.
If there are not any campaigns listed in the Results area then there are no new results to report.
