Ron da Silva is the principal network architect at America Online, Inc., an AOL Time Warner company. He is responsible for designing and scaling the company's data networks. He is involved in developing future cable architectures, researching access technologies, business development, broadband strategy, and most every other initiative within AOL. Ron serves as strategic advisor for product development, research, and new technology evaluation. Ron has extensive experience in managing large IP networks. In particular, during his time with AOL, Ron was responsible for building AOLTW Transit Data Network (ATDN), an international tier-1 oc192 backbone ISP that spans five continents, serving AOLTW and its subsidiaries. In addition, Ron oversaw the development of the datacenter hosting networks as the business experienced some of its greatest success. Prior to joining AOL in 1998, Ron served as a principal engineer for Sprint's Internet backbone after ranking first in the competitive Associate Engineering Program. Ron began his career in 1992, when he started systems and LAN administration while completing his Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics and English at Old Dominion University (1994). Ron is well known in the service provider community and is very active in various industry organizations. He serves on the technical advisory council for ARIN.

Hank Mauldin is a corporate consulting engineer for Cisco Systems specializing in network design and security. He has worked for Cisco Systems for more than nine years evaluating and designing data networks. He has been involved with IPsec and done extensive testing of interoperability among IPsec products. He is working on evaluating, testing, and mitigation of network threats. Prior to working at Cisco, he worked for several network integrators and has more than 20 years of data networking experience. Hank holds a master's degree in information system technology from George Washington University. He lives with his wife in San Diego, and has one son away at college. His other interests are travel and digital video production.

Glen Zorn has worked with computer networks since 1982, with the past 10 years devoted to the design and implementation of distributed authentication and authorization protocols. He is the author of more than 20 IETF RFCs and has been an active participant in the development of security protocols for wireless LANs and 3G cellular networks. Zorn is currently employed by Cisco Systems as a corporate development consulting engineer in the Security and Integrity group.
