national character set

An alternate character set from the database character set that can be specified for the NCHAR, NVARCHAR2, and NCLOB columns. National character sets are always Unicode.

non-circular reuse records

Information used by Recovery Manager (RMAN) in the target database's control file that is not written over because these records are critical to RMAN's ability to back up and recover a database.

non-current redo log file members

Redo log file group members that are not currently being used by the log writer process for ongoing transactions are considered non-current redo log file members.

normal redundancy

For an ASM disk group, a level of redundancy that requires at least two failure groups in the disk group.
