Auto-completion  

The same applies to code auto-completion. A basic example of this feature is the addition of the closing parenthesis when typing the opening one. A more sophisticated method is the addition of all the basic structures of the function definition, just after typing the function token. Again, this feature tends to make us forget basic semantic rules, such as how to define a function, and its absence would increase our learning costs.

If those costs would be higher than the perceived value of the tool, we would discard it, looking for something more familiar that will better meet our needs.
