Commanding Attention with Borders and Shading

One of the major enhancements in Word 2007 is the addition of many professional and easy-to-use design features that make creating attractive documents simple. Sometimes producing a basic document on a clean white page is the best approach for communicating a message as clearly as possible. But at other times, you might want to shine a spotlight on a particular passage of text, a table, or an object on your page. You might create a border around a table, or use a shaded sidebar for a section of text that accompanies an article. You might add a border around a document’s table of contents so that readers can refer to it easily. Borders and shading can add a special look to important elements and to help them stand out.
