Step 1. As a group, determine what innovation in business technology will have the most impact on people over the next year, five years, and ten years. After the group has selected a specific innovation, each group member should prepare a short presentation on why that particular technology change will be significant in his or her area.

Step 2. Evaluate the innovation by asking the following:

• What proportion of businesses will be impacted by the technology?

• What aspects of business activity will be impacted?

• What proportion of consumers or vendors will be impacted?

• Will the innovation lead to additional changes in the business in the future?

Step 3. Optional: As a class, compare the groups’ results. Determine which innovation has the most likelihood of coming to fruition. How will it change your career and the world you will be part of in the future?
