We will utilize the same data set as we did in the case “Appointment Wait Times at Veterans Medical Centers.” The data was obtained from the Veterans Health Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services websites. The file VHA_Appts_Processed.jmp was created manually from these various data sources and contains the derived data added in the case “Appointment Wait Times at Veterans Medical Centers.”

The 16 veterans medical centers (VMC) represented in the data are a sample from three of the Veterans Integrated Service Networks (Mid-Atlantic (VISN 6), Southeast (VISN 7), and Sunshine (VISN 8)) that serve veterans in the southeast United States. Pertinent information about the various columns is documented through JMP Notes (Right click on the column name and select Column Properties > Notes).
