Spring Boot makes developing Spring-based applications easy. It allows us to create production-ready applications very quickly.

In this chapter, we looked at building awesome REST APIs with Spring Boot. We looked at some of the REST API best practices. Then, we implemented exception handling, caching, and internationalization for our REST API application. We also discussed the best practices of documenting REST services using Swagger. Finally, we learned how to deploy REST APIs to a cloud provider.

In the next chapter, we will focus on unit testing REST APIs, as well as providing tight security around our RESTful services by using Spring Security.
